MEET THE WRITER...
Ron Bogan
I am a writer and a storyteller, driven by a deep conviction to explore the intersections of faith, history, race, and culture. My work is born from a desire to speak into the silences and address the tensions that define our modern landscape. The name of this blog, The Dividing Wall, reflects the visible fractures in our society, but it also draws inspiration from the biblical promise in Ephesians: "For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility."
While my worldview is rooted in the Christian tradition, these essays are written for everyone. I believe all truth is God’s truth, and the issues I tackle—justice, mercy, and righteousness—affect us all. I am particularly concerned with reclaiming the biblical mandate to care for the oppressed and challenge the oppressor, a calling I fear many modern institutions have neglected. My goal is to use the written word as a crucible to test assumptions, confront uncomfortable truths, and examine the alignment between our beliefs and our behaviors.
I invite you to bring your curiosity and your hardest questions. My hope is that through this shared journey, we can begin to see the world through a different lens and find the solidarity needed to dismantle the barriers between us.
As a human, I know my perspective is evolving and imperfect. I do not plan to delete past writings—not because I believe they are infallible, but because I want them to stand as a transparent record of my own growth. My hope is that we will learn and change together.
